Dear Parents and Carers,

We are delighted to invite you to join us for our Reading Day, an opportunity for you to come into school and take part in learning alongside your child.

On 8th of Oct 2026, our classrooms will be filled with stories, imagination, and a love of reading as pupils take part in a range of fun and engaging literacy activities. The children are excited to share their reading journey with you and would love for you to join them in celebrating the importance of reading.

Throughout the morning, you will have the opportunity to take part in reading activities alongside your child, explore ways to support reading at home, and discover how reading helps children develop confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.

Whether you are an avid reader or simply want to learn more about how to support your child’s reading, everyone is welcome. The aim of the morning is to enjoy learning together, share stories, and spend quality time with your child in their school environment.

Event Details

There will also be a selection of children’s books available to purchase, helping you to continue the reading journey at home.

We hope this event will give you an insight into the important role reading plays in your child’s education while creating happy memories for children and families alike.
