Croeso nôl ! Welcome back !

Ein thema am yr wythnosau cyntaf yw : ‘Dyma ni ym Mlwyddyn 1’

Our theme for the first few weeks is ‘Here we are in Year 1’

Dyma sut y byddwn yn ymgartrefu’r plant i’w dosbarth newydd  :

This is how we’ll be settling the children into their new class :

• Sicrhau fod pob plentyn yn teimlo’n hapus  a chyfforddus yn eu dosbarth newydd / Ensuring that each child feels happy, comfortable and settled in their new class.
• Cyflwyno’r staff a’i rôl o fewn y dosbarth / Introducing the staff and their role in class.
• Cyflwyno trefniadau’r dosbarth / Introducing them to the class  arrangements / routines.
• Dangos yr offer ac adnoddau sydd ar gael i’w cefnogi/ Showing them the resources available to support them .

• Dangos yr ardaloedd gwahanol tu fewn/tu allan i’r dosbarth / Showing them the various learning areas within and outside the classroom.
• Cael amser cylch i drafod teimladau ac unrhyw bryderon / Having circle time to discuss their feelings and any worries they have.
• Cyflwyno rôl yr helpwr heddiw / Introducing the role of the daily helper.

• Yna byddwn yn symud ymlaen i’n thema newydd: Arwyr Arbennig!

Yn dilyn derbyn llythyr cudd a cenhadaeth gan Capten Swpyr Dwpyr rydym yn gyffrous y tymor hwn i weithio ar y thema  Arwyr Arbennig a fydd yn canolbwyntio ar  Arwyr ac Archarwyr!

Drwy gydol ein dysgu, bydd y plant yn archwilio’r cwestiwn: Beth sy’n gwneud archarwyr? Byddwn yn trafod y rhinweddau a’r nodweddion sy’n gwneud person yn arwr, megis caredigrwydd, dewrder, gonestrwydd a pharodrwydd i helpu eraill.

Bydd y plant yn dysgu am wahanol fathau o arwyr ac uwcharwyr, gan gynnwys cymeriadau ffuglennol a phobl go iawn sy’n gwneud gwahaniaeth yn eu cymunedau ac ar draws y byd. Byddwn yn annog y disgyblion i feddwl am arwyr bob dydd a sut y gall gweithredoedd bach o garedigrwydd gael effaith fawr.

Fel rhan o’r thema hon, bydd y plant yn cael cyfle i ddefnyddio eu creadigrwydd a’u dychymyg i ddylunio a chreu eu archarwr eu hunain. Byddant yn ystyried pwerau arbennig eu harwr, eu personoliaeth, eu hymddangosiad a’r gwahaniaeth cadarnhaol y gallant ei wneud yn y byd.

Edrychwn ymlaen at dymor llawn gweithgareddau cyffrous, prosiectau creadigol wrth inni ddarganfod beth mae bod yn arwr yn ei olygu mewn gwirionedd.

Byddwn hefyd yn dilyn llais y plant am pa heriau yr hoffent ei gwblhau yn yr ardaloedd ac am beth yr hoffent ddysgu / ddarganfod amdano.

We’ll then move onto our new theme: Special Heroes!

Following receiving a secret letter and mission from Captain Super Duper we’re excited this term to work on the Special Heroes theme which will focus on Heroes and Superheroes!

Throughout our learning, the children will explore the question: What makes superheroes? We’ll discuss the qualities and characteristics that make a person a hero, such as kindness, courage, honesty and their willingness to help others.

The children will learn about different types of heroes and superheroes, including fictional characters and real people who make a difference in their communities and across the world. We’ll encourage the pupils to think about everyday heroes and how small acts of kindness can have a big impact.

As part of this theme, the children will have the opportunity to use their creativity and imagination to design and create their own superhero. They’ll consider their hero’s special powers, their personality, their appearance and the positive difference they can make in the world.

We look forward to a term full of exciting activities, creative projects as we discover what it really means to be a hero.

We will also follow the children’s voice about which challenges they would like to complete in the areas and what they would like to learn / find out about.

Amser Aur—prynhawn Gwener

Mae’r Uned dysgu sylfaen yn cael sesiwn amser aur sef cael y dewis i chwarae gyda amrywiaeth o degannau ac offer. Mae amser aur yn wobr positif i’r plant am eu gwaith caled ac ymddygiad da yn ystod yr wythnos.

Maent yn cael dewis o:

· Teganau e.e. adeiladu, cerbydau a dolïau

·   Gemau a jig-sos

·   Chwarae rôl a gwisgo i fyny

·   Tasgau creadigol

·   Ardal tu allan

·   Gwylio cartŵn neu ffilm

·   Darllen

*Mae’r tasgau a’r teganau yn amrywio yn ystod y flwyddyn.

Golden Time – Friday afternoon

The foundation learning unit has a golden time session where they’re given the choice to play with a variety of toys and equipment. Golden time is a positive reward for the children for their hard work and good behaviour during the week.

They have a choice of:

· Toys e.g. construction, vehicles and dollies

· Games and jigsaws

· Role play and dress up

· Creative tasks

· Outside area

· Watch a cartoon or film

· Reading

*The tasks and toys vary during the year.
